Writing is hard work. Don't let anyone kid you.

Today is Labor Day, which made me wonder just how much I've been working on my new Sgt. Dunn novel, Behind German Lines. Since I keep track of everything from word count to what pages were edited each day in an Excel spreadsheet, it was easy to find the answer:

I completed the first draft on 23 June. I have worked on editing the book every day since, except for Baseball All-Star game night. Starting edit no 6 tomorrow.
